Pervin Todiwala

Pervin Todiwala is a distinguished figure in the UK's hospitality industry, renowned for her multifaceted roles as a chef, restaurateur, and educator. As the Operations Director and co-patron of Café Spice Namasté, Pervin has been instrumental in shaping the restaurant's esteemed reputation. A graduate with honours from Bombay's prestigious Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition (IMHCT), she began her culinary journey as a Chef de Partie at the Taj Mahal Intercontinental Hotel. Her career trajectory took her from Mumbai to Goa, where she dedicated time to raising her two sons, and eventually to London in 1995, marking the beginning of her full-time commitment to the restaurant business.​

In 2013, Pervin co-founded Zest Quest Asia alongside her husband, Cyrus Todiwala. This initiative aims to inspire and cultivate skills in classical Asian cuisine among UK culinary students, reflecting her dedication to education and the promotion of Asian culinary arts. Her contributions have been recognized with numerous accolades, including being named an Honorary Dame d’ Escoffier by Les Dames d’Escoffier London and receiving the TIAW World of Difference Award for her efforts in empowering women in society. Additionally, Pervin was listed among the Women 1st ‘100 Most Influential Women’ in UK hospitality, leisure, travel, and tourism, and in 2020, she was honored with the ‘Inspirational Woman of the Year’ award at the British Curry Awards.​

Beyond her professional endeavors, Pervin is a Patron of Learning for Life and a Founding Member of the Company of Entrepreneurs. Her unwavering commitment to sustainability, education, and the advancement of the hospitality industry continues to make a significant impact, inspiring many within the sector.
